Clark County has an abundance of water resources. They are areas of recreation, beauty, and their health can ultimately affect the quality of our ground water. According to the Ohio State University Extension’s Water Resource Fact Sheet for Clark County, water quality and availability is becoming an increasing concern for residents. This is one reason some county organizations are taking an active step to preserving this resource and encouraging the community to get involved.
As a part of its “Keep Clark County Beautiful” program, the Clark County Recycling Center is promoting a river clean-up during the month of August. They will supply all the equipment necessary and volunteers receive a free T-shirt. The program lasts until the end of August, but efforts will continue throughout the year.
